The Golden State Warriors were back on the road on Wednesday night. They carried a 2-12 road record into their game against the Indiana Pacers. The Warriors lost the game 125-119 to fall to 14-15 overall. Furthermore, the Warriors took an injury that their fans will be paying close attention to.

Steph Curry left the game late in the third quarter with a shoulder injury. He had 38 points in the contest and had played 30 minutes prior to leaving. Head coach Steve Kerr said that Curry will get an MRI done on Thursday.

LaMelo Ball posts a double-double in return

LaMelo Ball has had two ankle injuries this season that have limited his participation severely. However, the point guard for the Charlotte Hornets was back on the courts on Wednesday night. He had a double-double for points and assists with 23 and 11 respectively. However, Charlotte fell in overtime to the Detroit Pistons, 141-134.

Ball played 34 minutes in the game. It should be noted that the Hornets were +16 when he was on the court. That was his point differential for the game. It’s also important to note that no other Charlotte starter was better than -4 for the statistic. When Ball was on the court, things generally went right for the Hornets. The team went -23 when he was sitting.

Games we tipped for NBA December 14th, 2022

We had betting tips for four separate games in the NBA on Wednesday night. In one upset call, we had the Orlando Magic to beat the Atlanta Hawks at +130. The Magic did defeat Atlanta thanks in no small part to a 50-point first quarter. The final score in the game was 135-124.

In another game, we recommended taking the New York Knicks with a +4.0 handicap against the Chicago Bulls. The handicap was more than enough as New York defeated the Bulls 128-120 in overtime. We also recommended the Pacers at +1.5 against Golden State, a tip that also won on the evening.

The fourth and final game we tipped isn’t looking so good. At the time of writing, the Dallas Mavericks trailed Cleveland by 18 points in the third quarter. The Mavs have a lot of work to do if they are going to cover a -2.0 spread. Saving a massive comeback, it looks like we will be 3-1 on the evening.

Jazz beat the Pelicans on Tuesday

Utah Jazz took down an impressive victory on Tuesday night. The Jazz hosted the New Orleans Pelicans, the NBA team who had the longest active winning streak entering Tuesday at seven straight wins. Utah was hosting and they’ve been tough at times this season at home. On Tuesday, they were very difficult as they defeated the Pelicans 121-100.

The victory came at a time when Utah appears to be getting back to full strength. They’ve had some injury problems lately but Mike Conley has returned to the lineup. Furthermore, Lauri Markkanen was in the game. When that duo is active for the Jazz and receiving support from Jordan Clarkson, Walker Kessler, Kelly Olynyk, and Jarred Vanderbilt, Utah might be very tough to beat. The Jazz improved 16-14 on the season while New Orleans dropped to 18-9. The two teams will meet one another again on Thursday night.

Houston Rockets beat Phoenix Suns

In a game where we recommended taking the Rockets with a +5.5 handicap, Houston won outright. The Rockets defeated the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night 111-97. The Suns were without Devon Booker for the game but Phoenix hasn’t been playing well of late with or without him. They are now just 16-12 on the season while the Rockets, who have been doing alright lately, improved to 9-18.

It will be interesting to see where Houston, who hosts Miami on Thursday night, goes with their current form. They have won six of their last ten, a pretty good run for a low-ranked NBA team. The lower spots of the Western Conference’s play-in tournament might be on the table for the Rockets, keeping in mind that they only need modest results to challenge for 9th or 10th spot.
