Phoenix Suns Eliminate Clippers in West

In historic night for Devin Booker, Suns are the second West team to secure a berth in the semifinals and will now have Denver Nuggets as opponent

A 266-point game, that's what happened in Game 5 between Phoenix and Los Angeles Clippers, which secured the Suns victory by 136-130. Now they have their next round Saturday for the first game of the Western Conference Semifinals Series, and nothing more and nothing less than Denver Nuggets ahead.

Looking at the scoreboard it looks like it was a tight match, yeah… actually it had some changes between periods. At halftime, the Suns lost the game by 70-61, but when they returned to the locker rooms, the team scored 50 points in the third quarter alone. 41 of them were Devin Booker, the Franchise player recorded the record for the player with the most 40-point games in playoffs in Phoenix Suns history, surpassing Charles Barkley.

The Clippers even tried, in the last quarter they managed to reduce the lead to two points, taking a 15-point lead. Even the 70 points in the first half, made the team fight until the end, but it was clear that the absence of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, made the chances of the team qualifying to decrease a lot.

Phoenix already had their Big3 on the court, and with Devin Booker's inspired night sent LA home, now they need to start next season.
