Pacers vs Bulls recap for Wednesday, February 15th, 2023. The Bulls (now 26-34 this season) lost to the Pacers, who are now 26-32.
The Indiana Pacers have not won many games lately, however, they managed to get a win on Wednesday night. The Pacers hosted the Chicago Bulls and prevailed in a contest that was fairly close as time expired. Indiana put up a single-digit margin of victory in the game, winning by 4 points thanks to a really strong second half. The final score was Chicago 113, and Indiana 117 as the Bulls wasted a 24-point advantage at the end of the first quarter.
With the loss, the Bulls are now 26-34 overall on the season. They had the top scorer in the game, Zach Lavine, who had an impressive 35 points in the contest. However, Chicago was missing DeMar DeRozan for this game, perhaps the reason they lost to the struggling Pacers.
Chicago themselves have not been in good form of late. In their last 20 games, the Bulls have posted a .350 winning percentage. Their poor form is starting to show up in the standings as the Bulls are in 11th place following the loss to the Pacers.
Meanwhile, Indiana improved to 26-32 with the 4-point victory. They too need to turn things around to get back into contention in the Eastern Conference. They are in 12th place following the victory and have some work to do to get into play-in tournament contention.
Chicago still has one game to play ahead of the All-Star break. They will face Milwaukee on Thursday. Indiana will break following the win and won’t play again until next Thursday, the 23rd, when they face the Boston Celtics.
