With another triple-double by Nikola Jokić, Denver is closer to clinch the Western Conference title
One of yesterday’s best matchups was the encounter between Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokić, both favourites to win the MVP trophy at the end of the season. However, the Philadelphia 76ers played with their backups and Embiid, as well as James Harden, did not play. Jokić played and scored another triple-double, and the Denver Nuggets got their 4th win in a row.
The final score was 116-111 in favour of the Nuggets as they played with full force in front of their crowd. Nikola Jokić had 25 points, 17 rebounds and 12 assists for another great individual performance. But the game’s top scorer was Tyrese Maxey, from the 76ers, with 29 points. In the end, it was not enough.
Starting a little bit slow in the first quarter, the game got better before halftime. And the home team was already winning by 61-57 at that point. In the second half, the Nuggets got a better advantage in the third quarter and saw Philly trying a comeback in the last period, but the attempt was unsuccessful.
