Nuggets vs Clippers NBA betting preview (January 13th, 2023). The Denver Nuggets are +1.5 (Unibet) on Friday.
There are a lot of injury updates that will need to be followed on Friday night for the game between the Denver Nuggets and the LA Clippers. Denver will be looking for a win on the road but they entered Friday with a couple of day-to-day concerns with two of their starters. The Clippers, who have an injury with Paul George, will host the game with a start time of 10 PM ET. The Nuggets are heading into the game as small home underdogs, with the spread set at +1.5 (Unibet).
The Denver Nuggets will enter the game with an overall record of 28-13 on the season. Their starting point guard, Jamal Murray, was listed as probable for the game with ESPN as of the early hours of Friday. Jokic, from the same source, was day-to-day and that is likely what has made the Nuggets very slight underdogs. Denver is in very good form right now, having improved from 17-11 to 28-13 since December 17th, 2022.
The LA Clippers are 22-21 on the season. They certainly are not in good form, having lost six of their last seven games. George is out for the game according to Justin Russo and that does offset the Jokic news a little.
This is a game where it is tempting to go with the Nuggets, however, Jokic is all over this team’s success this season. Denver won’t look the same without him while LA will still have Kawhi Leonard, Norman Powell, and a host of supporting players. What you are looking for in this one is for Jokic’s status to improve and then to take the Nuggets.
