Check out how were the games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the greatest basketball league in the world
Monday is here and that means another weekend is done in the league. So it’s time for the NBA weekend recap. Check out now the results and performances from the best teams of the league on Friday (10), Saturday (11) and Sunday (12), and how is the league standings at this point of the season.
Let’s start the NBA weekend recap by talking about the leaders of the West. The Denver Nuggets are living a terrible moment in the season. They lost their last three games, including two this weekend. On Friday, believe it or not, they fell 128-120 to the San Antonio Spurs, playing on the road. On Sunday, it didn’t go any better, and they lost 122-120 to the Brooklyn Nets.
Of course Nikola Jokić scored a triple-double in both games. First, he had 37 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists vs the Spurs. Then he had 35 points, 20 rebounds and 11 assists vs the Nets. He was the top scorer in both games and somehow lost both.
The leaders of the East only played one game this weekend and lost. They played on the road versus the Golden State Warriors and fell 125-116, and Stephen Curry was the man of the match. He scored 36 points and was clutch as always. Donte DiVincenzo had a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds. The Bucks weren’t on a great night but remain on top of the conference.
Currently second in the East, the Boston Celtics are still chasing the Bucks and won their only game this weekend. Playing on the road they beat the Atlanta Hawks by 134-125 and Jayson Tatum had a double-double, with 34 points and 15 rebounds. Trae Young scored 35 points and 13 assists, but it wasn’t enough.
Closing our detailed recap we have the Sacramento Kings, second place in the West. They beat the Phoenix Suns 128-119 on Saturday. It was a great team win as seven players scores 10+ points, but neither of them got to the 20 mark. Devin Booker was the top scorer with 28 points but still lost.
