The Brooklyn Nets continued their inconsistent ways on Tuesday night. They had a game against the Philadelphia 76ers, one where Philly was really short-manned. The Nets entered the game at -7.5 favorites but it was Philly that came away with a win of about that size, defeating the Nets 115-106.
Ben Simmons continued to play better as he had another double-double with 11 points and 11 assists. However, Tobias Harris for the 76ers led all scorers in the game with 24 points. Meanwhile, little-used Paul Reed was effective off of the bench with 19 points and 10 rebounds in the game.
The Nets fell to 8-10 with the result and have to be disappointed with not beating a Philly team that was without Joel Embiid, James Harden, and Tyrese Maxey. Meanwhile, the victory for the 76ers improved them to 9-8.
Sacramento won their seventh in a row
The Sacramento Kings’ winning streak was on the line on Tuesday night. The Kings were on the road against the Memphis Grizzlies as small favorites. They posted a four-point spread to keep their winning streak active in the NBA. The final score was Sacramento 113, Memphis 109.
Ja Morant was questionable for the game. However, he ended up being the game’s high scorer with 34 points. But the Kings improved to 10-6 and they are now among the best teams in the Western Conference.
Other games: Detroit and Phoenix were winners
In other games on the evening, the Detroit Pistons nabbed just their fourth win of the season. They defeated the Denver Nuggets 110-108.
The Phoenix Suns hosted and defeated the LA Lakers on Tuesday. The final score was 115-105. LeBron James missed the game for the Lakers and Anthony Davis led all scorers with 37 points.
