The NBA is getting to the business end of the season. Teams have about 30 games or so left and the NBA’s trade deadline is quickly approaching. That date invariably brings changes to the betting markets. Here’s a look at where the key markets in the NBA stand as the calendar flips from January to February.

NBA betting news: divisional favorites (all odds bet365)

When it comes to divisional odds, the heaviest favorite is Denver. The Nuggets have a nine-game lead that appears to be growing and bet365 is guarding against bets coming in on Denver. The Nuggets are 1 to 200 to win the division, meaning a bet of 200 units would yield just 1 unit of profit.

The next heaviest favorite is Memphis. The Grizzlies are 1 to 12 to win the Southwest Division despite mediocre form in recent weeks. The six-game lead looks safe due to a lack of a challenger. New Orleans, for instance, has gone 1-9 in their last ten games. Meanwhile, Dallas is having a disappointing season as well.

Boston, who is the outright favorite in the NBA, comes in at 1 to 7 to win the Atlantic. The Brooklyn Nets have fallen down the ranks in recent weeks following the injury to Kevin Durant. Philadelphia appears capable of making the division a race as the Celtics hold just a three-game lead over the 76ers.

The Miami Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks are shorter-than-EVEN favorites to win their respective divisions. The Heat have a 3.5-game lead over Atlanta. Meanwhile, Milwaukee has won five straight to take a 4-game lead over Cleveland.

The only division that could be regarded as open is the Pacific Division. The Sacramento Kings are the favorites but only at 21/10. They face a challenge from Golden State, the LA Clippers, and the Phoenix Suns. The difference between first and fourth in this division is just 2.5 games.

Favorites to win the NBA title, MVP

The favorite to win the NBA title right now is Boston. They are followed by Brooklyn, Milwaukee, Denver, Golden State, Memphis, LAC, and Philadelphia. Boston is at 15/4 to win the title while Philadelphia has shortened to 12 to 1.

Nikola Jokic is favored to win the NBA’s regular season MVP award. It would be his third straight if he can accomplish it. Currently, he is -110 (10/11) to win the award. His main competitors are Joel Embiid and Luka Doncic, who are 12/5 and 4/1 respectively.
