The Memphis Grizzlies have a win total of 50.5 (2023-02-19). We consider the OVER/UNDER for this total and their injury situation.
We looked at the Memphis Grizzlies very early this month. Back on February 2nd, they had a win total of 52.5 and we recommended the UNDER based on their short-term form. Bettors that took that advice with this team are in pretty good shape.
Memphis’ win total has since been lowered with bet365 to 50.5 games. While they will probably win 50 or fewer this season, it seems that the best time to bet on this team’s futures has passed.
The Grizzlies are into the All-Star break with a pretty clean sheet for injuries. However, they are without Steven Adams still, a player that injured his knee back on January 22nd. The original timeline was 3-5 weeks to return, so we are at about the time when some kind of update should be provided on Adams. Memphis’ slide is somewhat correlated with losing Adams, however, they did lose the last two games that they had with him in the lineup.
The Grizzlies have 25 games remaining in their schedule. They would need 16 of them to beat 50.5 wins this season. That’s not going to be easy but the oddsmakers look like they have forked this team with that win total. 50.5 is really hard to go one way or another with Memphis.
The Memphis Grizzlies do have three games against Houston remaining and one against San Antonio. But there is also a whole lot of LA in their schedule, whether the revamped Lakers or the revamped Clippers. It seems that the time to Memphis is in the past when it comes to their win total but there should still be a small inclination to take the UNDER.
