Luka Dončić is back. After missing five games due to a thigh injury, the Slovenian star came back to the court last night. Unfortunately, for him and the fans, the Mavericks fell at home versus the Golden State Warriors on Dončić’s return. After a great game, the Warriors won 127-125 and are now aiming for the top of the table.

Even with the loss, Dončić had the best individual performance of the game. He was the top scorer with 30 points, registered a double-double thanks to his 17 assists and got close to a triple-double with seven rebounds. Jaden Hardy also had a great game with 27 points for the Mavs.

On the winners’ side, Stephen Curry (20 PTS/13 AST) and Kevon Looney (12 PTS/12 REB) scored a double-double each. But Jonathan Kuminga, with 22 points, was the team’s top scorer in the game.

But one specific play in that game made the highlights in the NBA. Dallas simply forgot where they were attacking or defending. After a timeout, they came back to the wrong side of the court and left the entire Warriors team unguarded. Looney said thank you very much and scored probably his easiest basket ever. Just to add some drama, the Mavs lost by two. Maybe those two points? Who knows.
