After losing their first chance to close the series, Los Angeles will try it again by playing at home this Friday
The second game of the NBA Playoffs night this Friday is Game 6 of the series between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers. And playing at home, the Lakers are looking to qualify tonight as they lost their first chance to do so in Game 5, last Wednesday.
After opening a 3-1 advantage, the Los Angeles Lakers had the chance of closing the series and advancing in the last game, but they lost Game 5 by 121-106. With that, the Warriors remained alive, but now LA will have the chance to advance to the Western Conference Finals playing at home.
Whoever wins this series will play the Western Finals versus the Denver Nuggets, who had the best record during the regular season in the West and qualified to the finals last night after beating the Suns in Game 6, closing their series in 4-2. If the Warriors manage to win another one tonight, Game 7 will happen on Sunday.
Once again LeBron James and Anthony Davis appear in the Lakers’ injury report. And once again, with foot injuries, they are listed as probable and should play tonight. The Golden State Warriors on the other hand have two payers listed as questionable. Patrick Baldwin Jr. is dealing with a toe injury and Andrew Wiggings has a costal cartilage fracture.
Playing at home and having the chance to eliminate the defendant champions and advance to the Conference Finals, the Lakes are the favourites tonight by 3.5 points. Meanwhile, the over/under is set at 220.5 points, which is a little bit low for what we have been seeing so far. Check out our picks for this game.
