Lakers and Warriors series starting

The most awaited series featuring LeBron James vs. Stephen Curry begins tonight with Game 1 in San Francisco

The last Conference Semifinal starts tonight. And it is for sure the most awaited one, especially by the fans of the game, more than the teams. That’s because LeBron James and Stephen Curry will face each other in what we hope could be seven games. The series between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors is starting tonight.

Both veteran players are the best the league could offer. LeBron has won everything he could during his career. Steph is not behind. Each of them has won the NBA Championship 4x, with an advantage for Curry for having played fewer seasons in the league (20 vs. 14). James has two regular season MVPs more than Curry (4 vs. 2) and three more finals MVPs (4 vs. 1).

Tonight will be the sixth time they face each other in the postseason, and this is how it went so far in the previous five (including four NBA Finals):

  • 2015 Finals: Warriors 4-2 Cavaliers
  • 2016 Finals: Cavaliers 4-3 Warriors
  • 2017 Finals: Warriors 4-1 Cavaliers
  • 2018 Finals: Warriors 4-0 Cavaliers
  • 2021 Play-In: Lakers 103-100 Warriors

LeBron has won three of these five direct matchups. Will Steph Curry even it this time or LeBron is getting the best for the fourth time? The answer starts to be written tonight.

Injury Report

As it happened in the Lakers’ last game, LeBron James and Anthony Davis, both with foot injuries, are listed as probable. Mo Bamba (ankle) is questionable. On the Warriors’ side, there is no new name listed in the Injury Report.
