Knicks vs Warriors Recap: NBA Dec. 20/22

Knicks vs Warriors recap for Tuesday, Dec. 20/22. The Warriors (now 15-17 this season) lost to the Knicks, who are now 18-13.

The New York Knicks, the hottest team in the NBA when judged in terms of an active winning streak, hosted the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday. The Knicks, playing from home, won the game in a contest that was a total one-sided blowout. They put up a large double-digit margin of victory in the uncompetitive affair, winning by 38 points. The final score was Golden State 94, and New York 132.

Warriors @ Knicks Tuesday: Jordan Poole scores 26

This was a game that we had a betting recommendation on. As we saw it, the Knicks were going to win although the situation appeared to call for a spread-covering victory.

With the loss, the Warriors are now 15-17 on the season. Furthermore, this is a team who plays its worst basketball on the road. They fell to 3-15 as an away team with the blowout loss.

The Warriors were playing without Steph Curry and Andrew Wiggins in the game but the team has never been a solid road team regardless of the lineup that they've sent to the court. Klay Thompson, who started the day as questionable, did play but he scored just 11 points in the loss. The top scorer in the game was Jordan Poole, who had 26 points in the contest.

New York Knicks (updated): Ranked Team at a Glance

  • Overall record: 18-13
  • Home record: 8-7
  • Away record: 10-6
  • Winning/losing streak: W8
  • Last ten games: 8-2

Meanwhile, the Knicks improved to 18-13 with the 38-point victory. They have now won eight straight games and appear to be in midseason form. Julius Randle had a double-double for points and rebounds in the game with 15 and 12 respectively. Furthermore, the Knicks' bench pushed the Warriors' bench over (not literally). The Knicks' reserves were all on the positive side for point differential in the game, including Isaiah Harterstein who went +21.
