The Philadelphia 76ers player was hospitalized last Saturday with broken bones after a hit and run

Usually, when we bring news from superstar players from the NBA or the NFL which is not related to the game, they are having some kind of problem. We’ve seen a lot of players going to jail, being arrested, etc. But this time the player here is the victim. Philadelphia 76ers Kelly Oubre Jr. is set to miss time from the court after being hit by a car.
According to police reports and hospital records, the player was hospitalized last Saturday with broken bones. He was a victim of a hit-and-run in Philly. The details of what exactly happened are not clear yet. But allegedly, he got hit at the corner of Broad and Locust Street, with the vehicle in question fleeing the scene without a trace. As a result of the hit, Oubre is said to have sustained some injuries.
The 27-year-old player was hospitalized in stable condition after he was struck by the vehicle earlier in the night. The team said he will miss a significant amount of playing time, but not the rest of the season. It added that Oubre will work closely with the 76ers medical staff on treatment and care but did not provide information on his injuries.
Oubre joined the Sixers from the Charlotte Hornets on a one-year deal in September. He is averaging 16.3 points per game and shooting 50% from the field this season for Philadelphia. He has been playing as well as ever in his nine NBA seasons for the Sixers, including starting after P.J. Tucker left in the James Harden trade.

As mentioned, Oubre is playing his ninth season in the NBA. He was the No. 15 overall pick in the 2015 Draft, selected by the Washington Wizards, out of Kansas. So far, Oubre played 535 games in the league, averaging 12.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 25.9 minutes per game. He also totals 23 double-doubles.
