Keegan Murray will be out due to COVID protocols on October 19th when the Sacramento Kings host the Portland Trailblazers.
Keegan Murray, the fourth pick from the 2022 NBA Draft, will miss Wednesday night’s season opener for the Sacramento Kings. Our pick to win the Rookie of the Year this season in the NBA, Murray isn’t injured, however, he will have to miss the game due to COVID protocols. His name appeared on the injury report for the upcoming game.
Murray played very well in his limited preseason appearances. He was slated to be the Kings’ starting power forward and his absence will be felt in Wednesday’s game. KZ Okpala, Terence Davis, and Trey Lyles are the players that will likely see increased minutes with Murray missing.
The Sacramento Kings will be facing the Portland Trailblazers in the opener. Not much is expected out of either team this season, however, Sacramento could be underrated if Murray is able to continue his strong form.
The Kings will host the game on Wednesday as they attempt to end their playoff drought. It is currently the longest drought of any NBA franchise in history. For the game at hand, the Kings are set at just -2.0 with bet365 sportsbook in what will be the late game for the evening of NBA action (7:10 pm PT/10:10 pm ET).
