Jazz eliminated from playoff contention

After yesterday’s loss, Utah is officially out of the postseason; Miami won and still have a shot

With three days left in the regular season, we still have seven teams fighting for something in the West. Until last night it was eight. But the Utah Jazz lost their direct matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder and are officially eliminated from the playoff contention.

Even though they were playing at home, they couldn’t even make it hard for the visitors to win. After the teams went back to the locker rooms with the Thunder winning by 55-52, the away team came back and won both of the last two quarters. In the end, the Thunder beat the Jazz by 114-98.

Two players ended the game as the top scorer. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 22 points for the visitors and Kris Dunn scored the same for the home team. We also had one double-double for each team. On the Thunder’s side, Dario Šarić had 14 points and 10 rebounds. For the Utah Jazz, Kelly Olynyk scored 16 points and 14 rebounds (and with eight assists he almost got the triple-double).
