The Charlotte Hornets are hot out of the blue. They hosted the Detroit Pistons on Monday in a game between two teams, neither of which can have any kind of playoff hopes this season.

The Hornets, with another double-double performance from Mark Williams, won the game in a contest that was not close as time expired. They put up a double-digit margin of victory in the game, winning by 11 points. The final score was Detroit 106, and Charlotte 117 as the Hornets won five straight games for the 1st time this season. However, the victory came at the cost of their best player.
