Yesterday’s night was special for the Memphis Grizzlies and their fans. Firstly, Ja Morant was back on the court after missing nine games with personal problems in Denver, after the 113-97 loss earlier in March. Secondly, with the 130-125 win the Grizzlies did clinch the division and a playoff spot.

Even playing at home and facing the worst team of the West, the game was not easy for the Grizzlies. They went back to the locker rooms winning by 75-64. But in the third quarter the visitors made things difficult and got closer on the scoreboard. The last period even finished tied and the victory was only by five points.

Ja Morant was back, but didn’t shine. He played only 24 minutes of the game and scored 17 points. Jaren Jackson was the man for Memphis, with 37 points and 10 rebounds. The Grizzlies are the fifth team to clinch a playoff spot so far and only the second in the West. These are the other teams confirmed in the post-season so far:

  • Milwaukee Bucks
  • Boston Celtics
  • Denver Nuggets
  • Philadelphia 76ers
