The Detroit Lions are one of the six teams that will be in action on Thursday this week. The NFL will feature three Thursday games in Week 12, something they often do during the Thanksgiving holidays. The Lions have their post-practice injury report out for Monday and there are some familiar names on the report.
Detroit has ten names on their half of the injury report. They include D’Andre Swift, their running back, however, he was a full participant in practice on Monday.
Non-participants included Frank Ragnow and Josh Reynolds. They have been on the reports a lot this season, Detroit’s starting center and a starting wide receiver respectively. Ragnow has a foot injury while Reynolds is listed as having a back injury. The latter has not appeared in a game since October.
Detroit has won three straight games
The Detroit Lions are in the midst of trying to turn their season around. At 1-6 a few weeks ago, it was inconceivable that they could get back into playoff contention. However, they have improved to 4-6 and, while the division title is likely out of reach, the Lions have to be entertaining dreams of contending for a Wild Card spot. Currently, they are in 10th place and the target team would be the 5-4 San Francisco 49ers (the record is before the Monday night game).
Beating Buffalo is a tough ask for Detroit, however, at least the Lions will have the home-field advantage. In a bizarre development, the Bills will play from Detroit for the second week in a row. At the time of writing, the Bills had not updated their half of the injury report.
The Thursday game time is 12:30 PM ET, which makes for a really short week. Not only will both teams be in action after just three days’ rest but they won’t even have the day-time on Thursday to rest for their next game due to being the first of three games being played that day.
