Betting Recap: Reviewing our recommendations

Here is what we had to say about the game before it started in regard to both popular betting markets and props. All odds below were from Unibet sportsbook.

We went 3-0 on the game for betting tips in 50/50 markets. Apparently, our tipsters had a read on what was going to happen. In fact, each of the bets above cleared quite safely.

Dallas won by 7, so with the +1 handicap, they were very safe. Tony Pollard ran for 105 yards on the night, almost tripling his OVER/UNDER total. Furthermore, Barkley safely cleared his receiving yards total with 45 yards nearly doubling his projection.

Look for the Giants to use Barkley as a receiver in Week 3. So far, he has only been targeted 11 times and most of those were in Week 1. He received for 30 yards that game and 16 yards in Week 2. He has an OVER/UNDER set at 23.5 with bet365 for Week 3 at odds of 10 to 13. It looks like the perfect bet because the Giants need to deflect attention away from Barkley’s rushing game. Also, the Dallas Cowboys have a dangerous secondary. With screens and passes to the running back, New York can avoid the secondary until after the catch. That’s something that the Giants should be looking to do.

The meat of our Barkley betting tip ahead of the Dallas vs New York game.

Game Recap: Dallas vs NYG

The result of the game is important. Firstly, it shows that the Giants are not really a special team. No one really thought that they were but with undefeated teams, you do have to wonder about their ceiling. It seems that they can't beat a middle-team when hosting.

For Dallas, the result further solidifies the opinion that the Cowboys have a player in Cooper Rush. He's not a backup that goes in and throws an interception or gets sacked every offensive set. Rush is a credible starting QB. The Cowboys have depth in that position which could put them in the driver's seat for a trade if they wanted to do it.

Also, Dallas is two-deep in running backs. There's Pollard and then there's Ezekiel Elliott. The Cowboys are more into this season than many realize.
