Cowboys vs Lions injury report - Friday Week 7

The Cowboys vs Lions injury report for Week 7. Ceedee Lamb is expected to play with Dak Prescott. The Lions aren't in perfect shape.

The Detroit Lions will host the Dallas Cowboys in the early set of Sunday games in Week 7. The game takes on some significance because it will feature Dak Prescott. The quarterback for the Cowboys is the slated starter for Dallas as he returns from his Week 1 injury. Here's a look at the injury report for both teams following Friday's practice.

Detroit in rough shape despite bye week

The Lions had 13 names on their injury report. That seems like a lot for a team that's coming off of a bye week in the NFL.

Receiver Josh Reynolds went from DNP to LP between Thursday and Friday. That means he was a non-participant in practice on Thursday but he was a limited participant on Friday. Reynolds is the team's leading receiver and he is questionable to play on Sunday (as of late Friday).

Rookie Amon-Ra St. Brown was a full participant in practice all week. He missed a game earlier this month but is active for Week 7.

RB1 De'Andre Swift leads the Lions in yards per game. He has not played since September 25th and remains questionable for Week 7. He was a limited participant in practice all week for Detroit.

Frank Ragnow, Detroit's prize center, started the week limited. However, he was upgraded to a full participant on Friday. That should help Detroit's running game and Ragnow is considered active for the week.

Dallas' side looks good

The injury report for the Lions certainly doesn't look great. It could be worse but coming off of a bye week, their backers might have been hoping for a better report.

At the time of writing, the Dallas Cowboys had not updated their side of the injury report following Friday's practice. However, of the 8 players they listed on Thursday, only one was listed as a limited participant. The rest were all full participants.

Importantly, Ceedee Lamb's status improved during the week as he went from limited to full between Wednesday and Thursday. He is statused as Active for Week 7.

The balance of the injury report certainly favors the Dallas Cowboys. That's a bit discrediting to the Detroit Lions' management as the Lions come off of a bye week.
