Bucks vs Bulls recap for Thursday, February 16th, 2023. The Bulls (now 26-33 this season) lost to the Bucks, who are now 41-17 heading into the break.
The Chicago Bulls hosted the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday. The Bulls were looking to end a losing streak while the Bucks were looking to continue theirs. While the Bucks won the game in a contest that was not close, the big news in the aftermath will be with Giannis Antetokounmpo. He only played nine minutes in the game and suffered an injury early.
Nonetheless, the Bucks put up a double-digit spread in the game, winning by 12 points. The final score was Milwaukee 112, and Chicago 100 as Milwaukee extended their winning streak to 12 games going into the All-Star break.
With the loss, the Bulls are now 26-33 overall on the season. This is a team that really needs a regroup but they will have a tough time making the playoffs, even if they play well after the All-Star break. The Bulls were without DeMar DeRozan for the last couple of games but their losing streak now extends to six-straight losses.
Meanwhile, the Bucks improved to 41-17 with the 12-point victory. The top scorer in the game was Brook Lopez, the team’s center. He had an impressive 33 points in the contest, partly due to the fact the Antetokounmpo barely played in the game and someone had to pick up the slack. Reportedly, Antetokounmpo has a sprained wrist and you have to wonder how that will affect his All-Star game participation on Sunday.
The Bucks entered the week as the top team in our NBA Power Rankings. Nothing happened to move them down and they will remain our No. 1 with the next update.
