Vitality has announced that they are benching Vincent “Happy” Cervoni Schopenhauer on their CS: GO team. The Vitality team was formed amidst great hype for the future of French Counter-Strike. However, the team did not produce the expected results for the organisation. As they look to revamp their roster and make a few changes to bring positive results, the first casualty is Happy.
Our CS:GO squad didn't click as well as expected. In order to keep improving our results, the decision has been taken to make changes within the team. As a result, @Happy1 will be benched from now on. His professionalism, talent and work ethic are not called into question. pic.twitter.com/8LXF0zINoA

Vitality managed to get a 5-8th place finish in the Europe Minor Championship: Katowice 2019 Closed qualifier. They lost 1-2 to Kinguin and saw themselves barely making it to the Europe Minor. The team looked strong in the Tier ⅔ scene, however, they were never really a challenge to the best teams in the world. With an organisation like Vitality looking for some exposure and possibly better results, this change was inevitable.
Who is the replacement?
There is no official confirmation about a possible replacement yet. However, there are rumours of a player from LDLC possibly joining Vitality. This would continue the French language in the team and bring in more firepower and synergy within the roster. As for Vincent, he is still a part of Vitality but is benched for now. His future at the team is uncertain and he might look for opportunities elsewhere.
