One of the biggest esports organisations in the industry, Virtus Pro has announced a rebranding of its logo and branding. The organisation has teams in multiple esports titles such as Dota 2 and Counter-Strike. In both these games, their team is one of the most popular teams out there. The new logo is in celebration of its 15 year anniversary.
The new branding will see Virtus Pro go back to their former Orange and White colour scheme. They are currently using a Green Branding for the purpose of their partnership with mobile communications organisation, Megafon.
We're proud to announce our new brand identity that we'll be using starting January 1, 2019. Game jerseys and some more cool stuff will be revealed next month, so stay tuned! #GOGOVP pic.twitter.com/KNIsVrNQC3

The organisation has changed their logos several times over the course of their existence. Their Dota 2 team is currently in the Top 3 at the Kuala Lumpur Major. They were the most dominant team for the previous DPC season, however, they were unable to win The International 2018.
As for their Counter-Strike roster, the team is definitely down and out. However, the player charisma and the huge fan base that the team has accrued over the years definitely helps. The team’s performance is on a steep decline. With multiple roster changes to their lineup over the past few months, the team has fallen apart. They are currently trying to rebuild their roster with the hopes of making it into the top leagues once more.
Teams await 7.20 Patch update.
The Kuala Lumpur Major is currently underway and is down to its last three teams. We will see a winner for the First Dota 2 major in a few days. Winning the Major provides a huge boost to the team’s chances to make it to The International 2019. The winning team gets 4950 Dota Pro Circuit Points.
Teams are anxiously awaiting the release of the next Dota 2 balance update. The 7.20 update will hopefully see the release of the new hero, mars. In addition to this, it is also possible that it will bring new map changes, significant economy changes and new items.
Here is the distribution of the Dota Pro Circuit points for the season:
- 1st place: 4950
- 2nd place:3000
- 3rd place: 2100
- 4th Place: 1350
