ESL has announced to organize and operate the Thailand official 2021 VALORANT Esports Tournaments.
In addition to official esports tournaments, after being named a Riot Games Southeast Asia partner, ESL will also host collegiate competitions.
ESL is hosting exclusive VALORANT tournaments from 2021, offering teams the chance to be crowned the country’s best team. In addition, the organizer of the tournament will run the opening season on November 23rd of the ESL Thailand Championship.
The ESL Thailand Championship will be included in the First Strike collection, the publisher’s first wave of tournaments. Eight teams will compete in prize money to win a lion’s share of THB 150,000 (£3,714.93).
Nick Vanzetti, Senior Vice President of ESL Asia-Pacific Japan, added: “Thailand has been one of our keys focuses in 2020 and we are excited to carry it over to 2021 as the appointed partner of Riot Games Southeast Asia for their VALORANT esports and collegiate program. With VALORANT becoming one of the fastest-growing esports, it is the perfect title for the ESL Thailand Championship product.”
