SuperNova CS:GO Malta reveal two more competitors, while TeamOne fight their way to Toyota Master
SuperNova CS:GO Malta – two new teams revealed
An upcoming Major CS:GO tournament, SuperNova set to begin in late November this year. The organizers have also announced two more teams that will be invited to take part in the tournament.

NRG and Gambit will be joining the ranks with four other teams, with two more to be announced. The list of current participants includes:
- BIG
- Gambit Esports
- HellRaisers
- TYLOO
- Virtus.pro
- Unannounced team 1
- Unannounced team 2
Eight teams will be competing for first place and a larger share of the $150,000 prize pool. The tournament will be conducted into two stage – a Group Stage and a Playoffs Stage. Four of the eight teams will be eliminated by the start of the Playoffs Stage and only one of them will become champion.
The event is organized by StarLadder and Quickfire. It is set to take place offline in St Julian’s in Malta at the InterContinental venue. The final two participants will be announced on 8 October next week.
Team One earn a place at the Toyota Master event
Following the TOYOTA Master Bangkok 2018: North American Qualifier, Team One have made it to the top and earned a place at the main event. In order to achieve this, they had to go through multiple NA teams to reach first place in the Qualifier. This included NightShade eSports, Gorilla Gang and Bravado Gaming. In all matchups TeamOne performed amicably, beating NightShade 16 – 0, while Gorilla Gang and Bravado Gaming lost in best-of-three matches.

The Team One organization originates from Brazil and it is made up of Brazilian players, save for NikoM who hails from Argentina. The team play in the North America scene and have seen great success in the Minor scene. They have won dozens of Minor and Qualifier events in 2017 and 2018 and are by all accounts a rising star in the world of professional CS:GO. While they have not won a Major thus far, they did achieve second place in their most recent one at World Cyber Arena 2017 – World Finals, where they lost against VG.FlashGaming.
Four more teams are yet to be announced for TOYOTA Master, which will be determined based on the results of the China, Southeast Asia, Thailand and Europe Qualifier tournaments. WIth the announcement of Team One, the participants list looks like this:
