A reddit user who goes by the name of J_Cleffe has recently compiled a list of the most popular CS:GO players in 2018 taking into factors such as Facebook likes, Twitter followers and Twitch followers. Fallen and Pasha overwhelmingly tower over the other 18 top players, both having 800k and 1 million more social media followers respectively over the rest.
I’m back with some statistics about the popularity of CSGO players. For this time I have checked the followers and likes on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, VK (the Russian version of Facebook, also popular in countries where they speak Russian like Ukraine) and Twitch. It is important to notice that all players in this top 20 do have accounts on Twitter, Instagram and Twitch, and the likes of Facebook and VK are taken from the fanpage with the most likes I could find (usually this is the official fanpage of the player).
Youtube channels are not represented as most of these players do not have a youtube channel they own and use themselves. Furthermore I chose to display active players only.
If you have any suggestion about the numbers I used (e.g. you know about a page with more likes on VK) let me know and I’ll update the list. I’m afraid the VK numbers are maybe not perfect because I don’t speak, understand or write Russian, so any page in Russian was not findable for me but the pages I did found had all a combination of English name and Russian text. If you know more about VK and fanpages on VK of players and if you see they are wrong in this overview, please let me know.
