After NiP secured the last slot by winning the OGA DOta Pit Minor, we can now focus on the MDL Major Paris. Let’s have a look at the top contenders from EU and NA.
Team Secret
Seeing Secret qualify for the competition is not surprising at all. The EU side was the first team to secure a ticket for TI9. The team reigned supreme in the qualifiers of the competition. They finished at the first spot and remained unbeaten. Secret did have a rough campaign at the DreamLeague Season 11 but it is not a big issue. They will surely be aiming to get back into the DPC circuit with a winning start.
Team Liquid
The champions of The International 7 have had their fair share of troubles. They are yet to achieve a good result in the DPC and we hope that Liquid shines in Paris. In the qualifiers of the competition, the side finished at 1st place. However, they were surely pushed to their limits in the qualifying match against OG. Yet Liquid prevailed with a well deserved 2-1 victory. Now we expect them to carry this form to Paris.
The second team qualified for the #MDLDisney is @TeamLiquid!
Congrats to them!Want to cheer for them in Disneyland® Paris this May?

OG
It would be quite odd if the champions of the TI8 failed to show up in Paris. The EU side had its fair share of troubles in the DPC with the absence of Ana. With him back on the team, OG will be aiming to claim its first points of the DPC season. They had to take the long way to Paris. Since after losing to Liquid they had to beat Final Tribe and Alliance.
Evil Geniuses
The first team to qualify from the NA region is none other than Evil Geniuses. They didn’t drop a single game in the group stage of the qualifiers. EG only dropped one map in playoffs to J.Storm. Sumail and the crew will have to give a strong performance against some of the best teams in the world.
Congratulations to @EvilGeniuses the first team qualified from the North America region!

CompLexity Gaming
Against all odds, CoL made it to Paris. In the qualifiers, they finished at 2nd place and beat Forward Gaming to get the spot. CoL recently made changes to its lineup and it looks like things are going well for them. Still, they will need a miracle to shine at the major.
Team Team
The last slot for NA was claimed by Team Team. The team recently had roster changes which lead to EternalEnvy taking the captain’s role. Under his leadership, they managed to beat J.storm and Forward Gaming in the Lower Bracket, after they finished at 2nd place in the Group Stage.
This wraps up all the teams representing EU and NA. We believe that NA will shine in Paris since they host possibly the best teams of the competitive landscape. However, since it is one of the last competitions of the DPC we can completely write off NA. Since they hold they have the tendency to surprise the world on the biggest occasions.
