Rogue recently announced that they would be disbanding their roster despite being able to pay the $20 million fee upfront. However for whatever reason they were not included into the inaugural season of Overwatch league. This definitely puts the players in a quandary as they cannot hope to be picked up by any other organization at such a short notice. Even if they do, there is no guarantee that their performance will be anywhere as good as they were on Rogue.
Sad to see @GoingRogueGG‘s Overwatch team go. Did everything we could to keep them together. We'll come back strong for Season 2 💪

Steve Aoki, one of the investors in Rogue has commented that he is sad to see the roster go. However he does mention Season 2 and that gives us hope that Rogue will be included in Season 2 of the Overwatch League.
