Overwatch League team Shanghai Dragons has issued a public statement condemning the actions of their designers. The Shanghai Dragons designers borrowed artwork from multiple artists without permission. They also published the same without permission.
Keeping in mind its strict self-imposed policy on regulation and its firm stance against piracy of any kind. Shanghai Dragons have since handed out ‘severe punishment’ to the designers. They have also cut off any ties with the said designers. At the same time, the Chinese Overwatch League team is looking to establish contact with the original artists. They want to compensate the artists for using their work without permission.

Shanghai Dragons finished Season 1 with a very disappointing result. They failed to win even one single match. Despite massive fan support the Dragons ended the season without a win. However, there were many positives for the Shanghai dragons as they showed significant improvement over the course of the season. Ofcourse they have a significantly new roster for the next season. They also have the only female player in the Overwatch League, Se-yeon ‘Geguri’ Kim.
The Overwatch League is currently seeing multiple teams announcing new changes to their roster. The next season of the Overwatch League starts on February 14th, 2019. It will feature a total of twenty teams divided into two different divisions: The Atlantic Division as well as the Pacific Division.
