The Universal Open Rocket League tournament will feature the finals at The Santa Ana Esports Arena. The tournament will be held on August 26-27, 2017. The prize pool for the tournament will be $100,000 and will be hosted by FaceIT And NBC Sports. 

There will be sixteen other teams participating at the event featuring the top teams from Rocket League. The pricing of the tickets are reasonable with prices being $15 for one day & $25 for the weekend. The Grand finals of this tournament will receive televised coverage. The tournament will feature a 2v2 format in stark contrast to the more popular 3v3 game mode.

Rocket League has been picking up as an esports title with many team organisations and event organisers entering into Rocket League esports.
