The Competitive Overwatch matchmaking system is in a very difficult situation right now. The competitive queuing experience is very worrisome with the level of toxicity and the unfair matching experience.
With the amount of hate Overwatch's matchmaking has received, for so long, I would honestly be surprised if the devs aren't in late stages of a big overhaul.
Blizzard won't let their game and huge investment die for naught.

Reinforce believes that we should be getting an update very soon, most probably before the start of next season. It would definitely be sensible considering how long the community has been demanding a better matchmaking experience.
