Cloud9 looked strong when they had Golden leading the team with its current roster. However, the 24-year-old Maikil “Golden” Kunda is suffering from health problems. This will force him to skip yet another event in the Blast Pro Series Lisbon. Replacing him on the team will be Ismail “Refrezh” Ali. The 20-year-old player recently left the Fragsters CSGO team.

Cloud9 has announced the temporary addition of the player for the Blast Pro Series. The event starts on the 14th of December 2018. It will continue for a period of 2 days. The tournament has a prize pool of $250,000. With multiple top tier teams attending the tournament, this event is as good as the other Premier events in Counter-Strike
Still being unable to compete due to a medical situation, @goldenmajk will not be attending at @BLASTProSeries #Lisbon.
We are happy to announce that @refrezhCS will be standing-in for #C9CSGO! Catch the team in action on Dec. 14th! #LETSGOC9 pic.twitter.com/x3TrfMbJwr

Golden’s health issues are sure a worrying sign for the North American organisation as well as the player. He was recently unable to attend ECS Season 6 LAN Finals; Cloud9 used Soham “valens” Chowdhury as a replacement for the player. Using ‘Refrezh’ as a stand-in might also have long-term implications for the organisation’s relationship with the player.
