Quickfire has announced a new CS: GO competition located in Malta. The SuperNova CS: GO Malta tournament will feature a prize pool of $150,000 and will have eight teams in attendance. This tournament is an invite-only tournament with the first few invites already released. Virtus Pro and BIG gaming will attend the event which is scheduled between the 29th of November and the 2nd of December. The event will be held at the Intercontinental Arena Conference Centre.
Quickfire is Malta’s leading game company and has several titles to its name. Malta is putting forth itself as a potential for one of esports hot destinations. The country which recently hosted its first-ever Esports forum is fast growing to become a venue in esports.

Quickfire has just announced a $150,000 CS: GO Invitational between eight tier-one teams. The event, named “The Supernova CS: GO Malta”, will be held between the 29th of November and the 2nd of December at the IntercontinenInvitationaltal Arena Conference Centre.
This Counterstrike Global Offensive esports competition is a first for the country, as well as Quickfire, and will be co-produced with StarLadder.
“We believe that Malta has a lot to offer esports fans,” said Simon De Cesare, CEO of the Eden Leisure Group, at the inaugural press conference. “We are thrilled to welcome teams of this calibre, and we hope that our island will become a top destination in the global esports circuit.”

The four-day event will feature a double elimination Group stage. This will be followed by a single elimination Playoff stage. With teams like Virtus Pro and BIG Gaming already invited to the event, we can expect more teams to be announced very soon. Quickfire has a set schedule for the announcement of the next invites. Two teams each will be announced on September 24th, October 8th and October 15th.
