OpenAI will take on five human players on August 5th. The AI which earned fame for itself during TI7 when it was able to defeat the world’s best professional players in a limited 1v1 setting will now attempt to play a proper match. This match will be with thousands of hours of practice as well as similar to a regular match. One of the criticisms for OpenAI last year was that it did not really play a game of Dota2, but the restricted settings actually helped the AI.
