Norwich City has renewed its partnership with the Facebook Premier League football club Bidstack.
Bidstack will be the first-ever official esports partner of the club as a result of the deal.
According to the release, in this season, Bidstack will use the technology owned and operated by the NCFC.
The two companies are aimed at further modernising the club’s identity and connecting each fan generation.
“We are very proud to take Bidstack’s first major step in esports and gaming as our lead partner,” Sam Jeffery, interim commercial director in Norwich City said.
“As an innovative games brand in the club, Bidstack offers a great opportunity to start this exciting new industry with customised content strategies aimed at upgrading communication with fans.”
Last season, Bitstack gave the club’s home and third sports education group Badu Sports their shirt sponsorship back.
With its work experience and sports qualifications, Badu will continue benefiting from the partnership for its students.
The partnership between Norwich City, Bidstack and Badu has also been nominated for the 2021 Football Business Awards for the “Best Corporate Social Responsibility Scheme.”
James Draper, CEO of Bidstack, added: “As a passionate football fan and avid gamer, I echo the feeling of pride in continuing our relationship with Norwich City as the club’s first-ever esports partner.
“This landmark announcement from a club in the Premier League that invests in sport shows that there will continue to blur the links between true worlds and virtual sports. This partnership, which builds on Bidstack’s technology, will help to facilitate cross world convergence, helping young fans to engage in the games and sport environments for the club through the familiar traditional stadium.
Bidstack and Norwich City have also worked together during the 2018 Insomnia Gaming Festival, when an advertising company hosted a football manager tournament.
