Danish Counter-Strike organisation, North has added Cadian to their CS: GO roster. This decision comes after a poor placement at the FaceIT London Major. North was unable to make it into the New Legends stage despite some riveting performances by the team.
MSL Benched – End of an era
MSL has been with the North team since its inception. He has helped shape the roster into its current shape and form. Over the years, North has shown great promise but have ended up feeding players to other teams. Losing players like Aizy definitely handicapped a great leader like MSL.

MSL received the MVP award at Dreamhack stockholm 2018
A four year long journey has ended. It started out with aizy leaving for FaZe and me and Kjaerbye building a new team of talents which surprisingly got in top-6 in the world. Since then it has been a very interesting journey with a lot of ups and downs. I also want to thank valde, it’s been impressive to see his development during the past year.
Looking back, I’m very proud of what I have accomplished, being top-5 in average in 2017. Over the 4 years I have won two big titles and four small ones and I’m very happy that I could finish my time in North by giving the fans that stuck with us a very big title. I want to thank all the teammates I have had through the time and thank North for the time. I will come back stronger!
However, his persistence and endurance to create a better team only propelled North forward. North won the Dreamhack Masters Stockholm 2018 after defeating Astralis twice at the tournament. Their victory was characterized by strong individual performances as well as excellent leadership.
However, their inability to make it to the New Legends stage sealed the deal for MSL. One of the best In Game Leaders in Counter-Strike, MSL will now be on the lookout for a new team.
Cadian returns to Danish counter Strike, Gade back to North

Cadian and Gade Join North Gaming
The roster shuffle for North will see Cadian’s addition to the roster. Joining him will be Gade, who was on loan to Heroic for the past few months. Cadian’s addition to North marks a return to Danish Counter-Strike for the player. He has been a part of Rogue Gaming for the past few months. While Rogue did not do any better than North at the Major, there were far fewer expectations of this roster.
They continued to impress casters and analysts through their run at the Major. Cadian has been on several Danish teams and has great synergy with some of the players. Generally considered to be a young player in the region, he has matured with time. His current position as an In-Game Leader definitely puts him in a prime spot, especially if he is able to provide success to North.
We are happy that gade returns to North. We have followed him thoroughly during his time at OpTic and believe that he has made satisfactory progress and gained a lot of experience. We believe that there is still a lot of untapped potential in the raw talent that Nicklas possess.
Jonas “whimp” Svendsen, Director of Esports at North.
Meanwhile, Gade has finished his loan duration and will return to North Gaming. He was on loan to Heroic and his return signals the reordering of the roster.
North will next be seen at the StarSeries i-League Season 6 which takes place 7th – 14th October in Kiev, Ukraine, while the firstcoming official matches will be the ECS Challenger Cup and ESL Pro League Season 8.
