The Kuala Lumpur Major is currently underway and we are down to the last four teams at the event. With the top four placement secured for this Major, the least amount of DPC points for the teams will be 1350 points.
Earlier today, the upper bracket matches saw Team Secret and Virtus Pro remain in the Upper Bracket. They will play each other tomorrow and the winner proceeds to the Grand finals of the Dota 2 Major.
The Ninjas in Pyjamas eliminate TNC Predator
The last hope for South East Asia in the first Dota 2 major saw its Major dreams come crashing down. Peter Dager was stubborn in his Drow Ranger strategy for the first game against Virtus Pro. However, in this lower bracket match, NIP approached the game with a much less-cheesy and more efficient lineup.
The first game saw the Ninjas pick up Axe, PL and OD to their team. On the opposite side were Armel’s Ember spirit and Gabbi’s Spectre. However, Gabbi could never find the free farm and the early start that he needed in order to be the strength for the team. Facing an Axe and intermittently a Pheonix, Spectre was never able to get the quick farm for himself. As NIP took their first Roshan, Spectre still did not have his Radiance, which was potentially a game-changing item for TNC Predator.

However, as Spectre crawled to his items, NIP got more and more items. Their lead just advanced as they never let go of their momentum.
The Second game saw TNC pick up the Arc Warden. However, they were again unable to secure an advantage in the early game in almost all of their lanes. The early advantage, including the first blood for PPD saw the Ninjas run away with the game. Armel had a particularly bad time on the Mirana in this match as he was unable to get any space for himself.
NIP survive in the Lower bracket and await their opponents for the next day’s match. They will face the winner of PSG.LGD and Evil Geniuses.
