Peter “ppd” Dager is one of the most famous American Dota 2 players. His popularity grew manifold during his time on EG. After leading the NA organisation to a top 4 finish during The International 2014. PPD also spent a year as the CEO of the Evil Genius organisation. Over the years, PPD has evolved into one of the best leaders in the North American Dota 2 scene.
NIP is not new to Dota 2

The first NIP Dota 2 team, formerly known as Team Lajons
NIP is not a new organisation to Dota 2. They first ventured into the scene picking up a lineup with Era and Limmp. But the team was unable to have any good results and left NIP with a not so good history in Dota 2. After taking a break for 2016, the organisation once again placed its trust in Era who formed the 2017 lineup with the likes of qojva and Trixi. Once again, NIP was not really winning any tournaments. Their best performance came during Dreamleague Season 3 and DotaPIt Season 3 where they placed 3rd and 4th respectively.
After announcing their departure from the scene [ to focus on other titles like LoL] NIP skipped the last year in Dota 2. But every year, the Dota 2 scene seems to be growing, especially on the esports front. With huge money involved in the Dota 2 esports scene [ probably one of the biggest in esports], it is difficult for the organisation to stay away. They also want to expand their fanbase to other titles than just CS: GO [ which is having a bad time anyways].

The Ninjas in Pyjamas return to Dota 2.

With PPD guiding several top class players for NIP in 2018, they have a lot of potential for the upcoming season
The upcoming DPC season will mark Ninjas in Pyjamas return to the Dota 2 scene. Even as they let go of their PUBG roster, NIP will be investing in the Dota 2 scene. We are seeing an interest from various organisations in the recent past, especially with Valve’s growing involvement in the scene.
NIP will pick up a mixture of European and North American players. The new team will compete in the upcoming DPC season. While there is no time lock for roster registrations, NIP’s involvement in the scene will give the players much needed support.
The NIP Dota 2 roster for DPC 2018-19 is:
- Adrian ‘Fata’ Trinks
- Marcus ‘Ace’ Hoelgaard
- Neta ‘33′ Shapira
- Peter ‘PPD’ Dager
- Martin ‘Saksa’ Sazdov
With this new roster, NIP can definitely become a top tier team. They have some quality players led by PPD, one of the most iconic In Game leaders for Dota 2. They will compete in the upcoming Kuala Lumpur Major qualifiers. The Kuala Lumpur Major takes place in early November 2018.
