Tyler “Ninja” Blevins’ fought hard in the Arena Mode over the weekend. Yet after giving a decent performances he still barely missed out on the qualification. Ninja paired up with Malachi “Reverse2k” Greiner in the weekend’s North America Eastern qualifiers for the Fortnite duos World Cup Finals. They got 86 points which just two shy off the FaZe Clan’s duo, Megga and Danny “Dubs” Walsh.
Reverse2k and Ninjas opted for not streaming their matches yesterday. Yet both were honest enough to share their gameplay error with the community which they thought costed them two points at the end. Reverse2k was quite modest to say that if he had won a 1v1 situation, then he and Ninja would have qualified for the World Cup but unfortunately, he lost. Meanwhile, Ninja shared that he should have finished off the two players he knocked out. He believe that those players were possibly revived so the never got the the two points they needed.
Not enough kills
Out of the 86, points, Reverse2k and Ninjas got 51 points for their high rankings, which includes three royale victories. Rest of the 35 points they got were eliminations, the duo surprisingly averaged just 3.5 kills per match. The duo was more focused on surviving and collecting resources. This was the lowest kill average in the top 20 duo. We are honestly not sure why these two adopted such strategy since they have made a solid reputation in the community by claiming incredible number of eliminations.
After FaZe, Complexity Gaming got the second spot after a decent performance of Punisher and Lanjok. They also adopted the surviving strategym but it worked for them, since they eight more points, than Reverse2k and Ninja. They accumulated 59 points with less than two matches played.

Reverse2k and Ninja will have just two opportunities left to qualify for the World Cup Duos Finals. The first round will take place 15 days from now, in the week eight and the last one will be held in the week 10.
Tfue outplayed by Ninja
In a latest clip revealed by Tfue, we can see that how well Ninja performed over the weekend. Since we briefly had a clash between the two yesterday. Well, you cannot say it was a clash since Ninja completely outplayed him in a matter of seconds. After Tfue was eliminated, his partner, cloak did his best to get some decent placement points. Yet his efforts were not enough since the duo finished with 81 points. So Tfue also failed in his conquest, he will now have to wait for 15 days to get another chance for the spot.
It will be quite interesting to see if both of the team have what it takes to qualify. We believe that they should have done it before but their sloppy performances are not letting them through. From July 26 to 28, New York will host the Finals of the Fortnite World Cup.
