The Blast Pro Series announced a series of events last year. These included some new locations for esports such as Istanbul, Lisbon, Miami as well as Sao Paolo. The Blast Pro Series of events is organised by RFRSH Entertainment who have invested a lot in esports over the past few years. They also have a stake in Astralis, the best Counter-Strike Global Offensive team at present.

The Blast Pro Series Miami will take place across a two day period on the 12th and 13th of April. It will feature a prize pool of $250,000. With six directly invited teams competing for this prize pool, we will witness some of the best Counter-Strike during that period of time. True to their promise, Blast Pro Series has invited Astralis and Natus Vincere to the Miami tournament.

Astralis – The Best team in the world.

Astralis is currently the best team in the world after a very successful period in 2018. They won the FaceIT London Major 2018 and are the hot favourites for ESL One Katowice 2019 Major. In the meantime, they also won several tournaments such as ESL Pro League finals, ECS Finals, IEM Chicago, Blast Pro Series Lisbon amongst other smaller regional events. They are also the first team to ever win the Intel Grand Slam, an achievement which helped them secure $ 1 million in the prize pool

Natus Vincere – A team filled with problems

The title of this subheading might be confusing when you look at the lineup for Natus Vincere. They have the best player in the world, S1mple. He is accompanied by another youngster who can very well lay claim to being the next best player, Electronic. These two players have so much firepower and an exceptionally high skill ceiling between them. However, the team as a whole has been unable to produce results for their efforts. The lack of performance by the team definitely has had an impact on the veterans such as Zeus. He recently mentioned that he is not looking to help the players develop a mentality and prove themselves on the world stage. The Interview might not truly represent his feelings, but there is a sense of exhaustion and exasperation amongst the Na’Vi players. With the Miami tournament in April, we do hope they have sufficient time to practice and become a strong contender.

The ticket sales go live on Monday.
