MIBR has qualified for the LAN finals of ECS Season 7. The Brazilians accomplished this feat after winning the final of the fifth week against Team Liquid. The Brazilians beat Team Liquid last week in the fourth round. This time the Brazilians won 2-1 on the Overpass, Mirage and Inferno maps and qualified for the main event, which will take place between June 6 and 9 in London, England.
The Overpass was the first map of the series which was picked Team Liquid. The Americans had a good start. The team won the pistol round and managed to win several consecutive rounds playing as CTs. The score was 12-3 at the end of the first half, in favor of Liquid MIBR reacted poorly as a team, and achieved poor statistics. Only Marcelo “coldzera” David got positive K / D in the first half.
After the break, the North American side continued to assert is dominance. Liquid won the second pistol round of the match and dropped only one round in the second half, winning the map with the score of 16-4. In the final round, Melo’s Epitacio “TACO” was in an uncomfortable 1v4 clutch. He managed to do well, and killed off three opponents, but it was not enough to guarantee the clutch and push the match.

The first half was quite balanced in the second map of the series, Mirage. Made in Brazil team won the round pistol starting as a TR and won three rounds in a row, which were soon tied for Team Liquid. The teams continued to exchange victories, until the Americans got a small advantage of 8-6. However, a clutch 1v2 of Fernando “fer” Alvarenga got a 15th round victory for MIBR. It was not enough to to stop the American who lead 8-7 at the break.
The lead was lost in the second half when MIBR played as CT and won the round pistol. The Brazilians, guided by good performances of Fer, won four straight in a row until Liquid again balanced the match and tie the map with a 1v4 clutch from Nick “nitr0” Cannella. MIBR still managed to and closed the match at 16-13 after an ace from Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo.
The final map of the series was Infernot. The Brazilians lost the pistol round but soon turned the game, opening a decent lead on the scoreboard. At the end of the first half Team Liquid recover, by getting a few round victories but still MIBR led 9-6.

After the break, MIBR came out all guns blazing. The Brazilians won the pistol round and extended the lead to 14-6. Fer made a big move, by knocking down two opponents inside the smoke with a USP and then stealing an AWP. His incredible move was enough to get MIBR 15 points. Team Liquid won a few rounds and tried to stage a comeback. Yet their efforts were not enough since the final score was 16-11 for MIBR, who will compete in the finals in London.
