MDL Macau 2019 will feature Vici Gaming and Ehome

Mars Media organised MDL Macau 2019 is a 5-day tournament in February 2019. The event will take place at the Galaxy Macau in Macau. Featuring a prize pool of $300,000 the event already is seeing several top-tier teams in participation. There will be a total of eight teams in participation at the event. While five of these teams will receive direct invites, the rest will qualify for the event through regional qualifiers.

In their latest blog post, Mars Media has announced that Vici Gaming is the latest team to receive a direct invite to their event. Vici Gaming has been one of the strongest team in the current season of Dota 2. They have dominated most of their matches in the recent past, including victories over stronger Chinese teams. The Vici Gaming roster is as follows:

• Zhang ‘Paparazi灬’ Chengjun
• Zeng ‘Ori’ Jiaoyang
• Zhou ‘Yang’ Haiyang
• Pan ‘Fade’ Yi
• Ding ‘Dy’ Cong

Ehome qualifies for the tournament.

Another strong Chinese roster, Ehome has managed to qualify for the event. Their qualification comes due to their performance at Dota Professional League Season 6. They managed to defeat teams such as Newbee and Invictus Gaming on the way to the finals. While they lost to Vici Gaming [ twice] they did manage to secure a top-two finish. MDL Macau had reserved a spot at their event for the winner of DPL Season 6. However, with Vici Gaming receiving a direct invite to the tournament, the slot went to the next best team. In this case, it was Ehome who managed to earn themselves an invite to MDL Macau 2018.

The dates for MDL Macau 2019 clash with that of IEM Katowice 2019. It is not a DPC event and as such, there is bound to be a division of teams. However, we already have four teams confirmed for the tournament. Teams like Virtus Pro, Vici Gaming, PSG.LGD will be in attendance at the event.
