Valveś hands off policy about CSGO and Dota2 has not been going down well with the community. Their recent mishandling of the Jump Bug definitely puts them in a bad spotlight There has been increasing clamour for the role of a community manager for Valve.
The community manager would act as a liaison between the community and Valve. He will be able to read into context the communityś opinions on several issues for Valve.

Taking it in his stride, Launders has decided to throw in his hat for the post. While there is no official post per se right now, the community definitely likes it a lot. The community has come behind Launders and support his application for the post of a Community Manager.
