No More Cheaters!
Respawn Entertainment has chosen a new strategy in the fight against cheaters who use prohibited programs for Apex Legends. Now, Apex will not just delete accounts, but the cheaters will be banned at the hardware level. Once caught using illegal software, the cheaters will no longer be able to run the “royal battle” on their computers.
According to unconfirmed data, Apex Legends reads all the technical parameters of the computer and writes them into a separate “passport” file. If a player is caught using cheats, then all his/her current and future accounts with similar technical parameters of the computer will be marked and blocked for 30 minutes.
On Reddit, the first “victims” of the new anti-cheat work have already appeared. Scammers admit that they tried to change the ip-addresses, format the hard disk, reinstall the drivers and various settings. However, they have not managed to bypass the ban on the system. On the forums, some of them have already repented that why on earth they decided to cheat, while others have begun to blame the producers of cheats for a poor-quality product. Prices for banned software packages for Apex Legends range from $ 60 to $ 150, and when selling the developers, of these cheats claim that their use will be safe for the player. It is already obvious that this is not the case.
A large number of scammers has become one of the main problems Apex Legends after the release of the game. In just a month, developers have blocked more than 355 thousand accounts found to be cheating.

Players in Apex Legends found launch platforms on the map that allows them to make long-distance jumps. The first messages about the unusual device appeared on Reddit on March 16. This means that the developers have added it recently.
According to rumors, this platform was supposed to be the ultimate ability of the new hero Octane, and its appearance before the release of the character was somewhat puzzled by Apex Legends fans. Fans of the game suggested that Respawn Entertainment wants to make the mechanics of long jumps “more independent” and not tie it to a specific hero. In this case, the question remains with the new Ultimate Octane. According to another version, the platforms were added to the map for the test in order to track down possible bugs in advance.
After discovering the platform on Reddit, several topics appeared about it. In some, the developers almost immediately unsubscribed, leaving only emoticons in the comments.
Respawn Entertainment released the “royal battle” on February 4th. Over a month, over 50 million people played it. Shortly after the release, the developers promised to make a Battle Pass. They also promised to hold four rating seasons by the end of the year. Previously, data miners found nine new Apex Legends characters. According to rumors, they should appear in the game as early as next month.
