The Korean government has always supported esports. The KeSpa is the brainchild of the government’s intervention. Taking further steps to develop and grow esports n the region, they have announced that they will build three stadiums specifically with esports in mind. The three stadiums will be supplemented by a dedicated tournament area, a broadcasting relay facility and a production studio. This could also mean a huge benefit for Seoul Dynasty, the Korean Franchise for the Overwatch League. With OWL franchises slated to play home and away matches only in 2020, the timing seems perfect for the same.
