Former Immortals player Vito “kNgV-” Giuseppe has apologized to his fans and the CS: GO community for his actions in the past. The player was extremely irresponsible with his actions, especially during his time on Immortals. He even threatened another player physically during a LAN event. The incident was a huge controversy at the time which ultimately led to his departure from Immortals. Despite being one of the best teams during the time, Noah Whinston was not afraid to punish the player for his actions.
KNGV’s public statement
We are nearing the end of the year which always leads us to reflect more. This year has been very important to me. Returning to competitive play on a smaller scale has led me to see things that before I could not and helped me to a better person today.
I would like to start by apologizing to the entire community. I now realize that a professional player is an example of a variety of people, those of which include children. I feel sad that I disappointed you, my fans, with some attitudes which I know were not correct.
I would like to apologize to DreamHack, Immortals (the organization which I represented at the time), my teammates and all the people who went to the event to watch us compete. Being late to a tournament in general, much less to the finals is something ridiculous and unacceptable no matter the motives.
I would also like to swallow my pride and publicly apologize to FNS. Nothing justifies how I reacted and I hope to one day see you at an event where I can take the opportunity to apologize to you in person as well.
I would also like to take the time and apologize to two organizations which I have disrespected and tainted the image of 100Thieves and Immortals. I am ashamed of the irrational way in which I acted while I am genuinely proud to say that I was able to represent, even if briefly, organizations of this stature.
Lastly, but not less important by any means, I would like to apologize to Thoorin. Again, my attitude is not justifiable and I hope to see you in an event to apologize personally as well.
Believe me, it was easy and it took me a while to be able to deal with this and recognize the error in my ways. No mistake is justified with another mistake and today I can recognize this.
I’ve paid for my mistakes for the last year and here I was finally able to compete at a world class level again. Something small to some but which I’m incredibly proud of. It just keeps showing how much I love this game and being able to compete in it. This is what I do best in life.
I have grown and will continue to grow. I do not want to keep making mistakes and am sorry for my past mistakes. I hope you can understand and support me.
I want to prove in and out of the game that I have changed.
With time and the proper conditioning, KNGV can become one of the better players in CS: GO. He has amazing skill and experience of playing against top teams. However, his attitude and temperament are a huge letdown to the player and to the community. The apology does seem to be very sincere, one that signals a change in the player’s attitude.
For now, only time will tell about the sincerity of the statement.
