IEM Katowice will feature a $500,000 prize pool. The tournament which was the first ever CSGO major back in 2014, has been a fan favorite with increasing turnouts by viewers. The prize pool is significantly higher this year with the amount doubling from $250,000 till $500,000.

The event will span six days and will culminate with the playoffs at the Spodek Arena, in Katowice, from March 2-4.This tournament will count towards the Intel Grand slam which sees teams count their points from various tournament wins over the course of the year.
