Riot Games has revealed that the 2021 League of Legends World Championship would be held in five Chinese cities.
The multi-city trip will stop in Shanghai, Qingdao, Wuhan, and Chengdu before concluding on November 6th at the Universiade Sports Centre in Shenzhen for the World Championship Finals.
In January, the developer announced Shenzhen as the host city for the Worlds Final.
“We’ve locked in the five Chinese locations following a very competitive bidding process,” said John Needham, Riot Games’ Global Head of Esports. We’re now ready to make good on our promise to players by launching a multi-city tour for the world’s largest esports event.”

Wuhan, the most northern city on the circuit, is located in the middle, with Qingdao to the north, Shanghai to the east, Chengdu to the west, and Shenzhen to the south, bordering Hong Kong.
Each of the announced cities will host one of the tournament’s stages, according to the statement, with details to be released at a later date.
The finals will be place in Paris, with Europe as the host area for 2019. According to a 2019 LoL Esports official release, China hosted the 2020 Worlds circuit, with North America initially set for 2021.
Riot Games’ most recent announcement indicated that Worlds will be held in North America in 2022.
Despite China hosting Worlds 2020, a multi-city tour could not go on as planned owing to COVID-19’s impact. Instead, the entire event was held in a confined atmosphere at Shanghai’s SAIC Motor Pudong Arena.
Only the tournament’s final stage was held in front of a live audience.
Although it has not been confirmed whether live spectators will be permitted at Worlds 2021, the Universiade Sports Centre is said to have a capacity of 60,344 people.
