Helsinki Reds, the Finnish organisation has released their Overwatch roster. The team has made significant progress in their local scene, but with lack of third party Overwatch tournaments, we have seen organisations and brands leaving Overwatch.

At the same time Overwatch has become extremely top heavy with most of the money coming into the Overwatch League.

The Helsinki REDS parts ways with Veikka “Talisman” Laine and Kaapo “Kryma” Laine. Two members of the organization’s original Overwatch roster, Eemeli “Woomera” Ikonen and Jani “Exceed” Kosonen, will continue as part of the REDS organization in different roles. More information on their roles in the REDS will be announced at a later date.

Most notable is their statement wherein they will reconsider rejoining Overwatch in the future.

“We are exploring new possibilities in several games. We can definitely see ourselves rejoining the Overwatch community in the future, but for now we will take time to observe the development of the Overwatch scene in Europe and to evaluate our goals and capabilities,” said general manager Christer Kasurinen.
